If you are looking for a sea-side experience in a beautiful and casual beach house - located next to one of the best dive resorts on Roatan – you have come to the right place. Casa Azul (affectionately known as Beach House 11) is a privately-owned home offering proximity to a great resort: privacy without isolation, activity without frenetic pace, and plenty of wildlife – above and below the water.
Roatan Island is full of dive resorts, and rentals – from luxurious six-bedroom villas to the budget-minded one room for rent. What puts Casa Azul in a totally different category from the other options on the island? The relationship with Coco View Resort and the accessibility to the resort.
Roatan is adjacent to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System (MBRS), also known as the Great Mayan Reef. The second largest barrier reef in the world, it stretches over 620 miles from the tip of the Yucatán Peninsula to the Bay Islands of Honduras. It is the reason that diving off the coast of Roatan is one of the best adventures you will ever have.
Casa Azul is located just 500 yards east of CoCo View Resort (CCV) on the Playa Miguel peninsula on Roatan Island.
This is home to the best dive operation in the Caribbean. From the dive staff to the boats, it is luxury diving. And because divers are there for multiple days, you will likely meet people who will become lifelong friends.
The “front yard” is snorkelers’ paradise. From the edge of the water – literally at the clubhouse – to the famous Prince Albert wreck; from the wreck to one of two great house walls, you can see a large assortment of small tropical fish, rays, and frequently barracuda.
Interested in investigating wreck diving? Voted one of the best wreck dives on Roatan, the Prince Albert sits in 60’ of water directly in front of Coco View. Another wreck – Mr. Bud – is an 8-minute boat ride from the resort. These two dives are perfect places for beautiful corals, marine life and divers.
Divers get to experience three of the most loved dive sites in the Caribbean. Although there are dozens of equally beautiful sites, three are famous in the diving world: Mary’s Place, Calvin’s Crack, and Coco View Wall. Voted as the best of the best by divers who know.
The beach house support staff and the resort staff are top notch. They will go out of their way to make you comfortable. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
Situated on the south side of the island, it is the perfect place to enjoy world class diving and a central point from which to explore Roatan. Play a game of horse shoes, corn hole, or darts while sipping a cold beer. Or watch the amazing sunset.
There are options for other activities as well. Local attractions are plentiful - make a reservation for the shark dive or a dolphin encounter. Enjoy an Artisan Tour or an Island Eco tour. Zip-line through the trees, enjoy the drum ceremony at Punta Gorda. Visit the West End to enjoy the local shops and restaurants.
It is all about the diving – whether you’ve done 1000 dives, or you are there to certify – you will want to become a member of the CCV family. And we welcome you with open arms.

About
Situated on the south side of the Island of Roatan and located on the world's second largest coral reef. This is one of the best dive vacation spots in the Caribbean, if not the world!
Who am I?
How did this happen? How did a woman from land-locked Utah, raised on a ranch, end up owning a beach house on Roatan? I am glad you asked.
